In my town's RealD theater, this film had unbearable crosstalk. The art design's constant use of bold lines really make crosstalk standout.

I think it would be a great 3d movie in a perfect zero-crosstalk theater, if that exists. But if your theater has even mild crosstalk, this movie really highlights the issue.

Very good movie, otherwise. The animation was incredible.

I had a similar experience, but it was stranger than regular cross-talk - it happened only to certain parts of the images, and not necessarily the high-contrast ones, which are the usual suspects. I thought it was a convergence problem, or poor 3D conversion (is it converted?), or even intended effect, in line with the plot (as in the anaglyph scene). Did not have the opportunity to explore, as I was busy watching, because yes, it is an awesome movie.

I can second that, saw it in IMAX 3D (via Hoyts here in Australia) and the crosstalk was significant (could be where we were sitting however) even for sections where you wouldn't normally expect it to be. The trailers don't show it effectively but there's a lot of line shading & half tone patterns all throughout the film (to make it look like an animated comic book) which if it is impacted by crosstalk it will be hard to distinguish what's going on. They also use a lot of additive offset colours for some sequences which makes it pretty hard on the eyes that also makes it look like there's crosstalk (but it's actually a stylistic choice).

Having said that when they get the 3D right it's impressive, you'd definitely need a high end TV/projector with a setup to eliminate/minimise crosstalk to maximise the enjoyment of the movie. Some of the scenes near the end are great in 3D, however it's a very visually overwhelming movie simply due to the amount of line shading, half tone patterns and then 3D animation & textures on top of it. I'm looking forward to seeing it again if there's a Blu-Ray 3D release though (I'm hoping there is).

I'm seeing crosstalk on the 2d trailer if that's possible? It may be the art (poor) choice.

Everything had lines on it, like a gridwork. I'm guessing part of the art style to look its printed on paperback comic book (very cool effect by the way). The problem with 3d crosstalk is that parralax is betrayed by the left eye seeing images meant for the right and vice versa. The gridwork of lines bleeding over to the wrong eye by 3d crosstalk is very noticeable unfornately. Only a perfect, crosstalk-free system would this movie be tolerable in 3d.
I'm advising my friends to catch this one in 2d. Unfortunate that Cinemablend doesn't evaluate crosstalk, some movies demonstrate it more than others.

I saw this movie at the AMC in 2D yesterday. I really enjoyed the movie. Outstanding story and the visual effects were innovative and eye-popping, even in 2D.

I didn't expect much from this movie since I wasn't too impressed with the trailer I saw when I watched the Venom movie, so I was pleasantly surprised. I loved this version of Peter Parker, a different take than the previous Spiderman movies.

Not sure if anyone else saw this in the 2D version, but it seemed like there were a good number of scenes where the picture was a bit fuzzy, almost as if the theater accidentally played the 3D version in the 2D screen. Not sure if this was the original intent or not.
