Saw it last night, unfortunately only in 2D. Definitely a movie I want to see again in IMAX and possibly in 3D, though the IMAX showings are all in 2D.
Fun, exhilarating, action packed movie that draws a bit from all previous Mission Impossible films. Definitely refamiliarize oneself with Rogue Nation as it serves as the prequel to Fallout. 5 STARS.

Saw it at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood last week. It was the first movie I've seen in the 4DX theater and oh boy was it a perfect movie for that!

Most North American and European pre-orders for the Blu-ray are up and only Finland has a 3D Blu-ray.

Mission: Impossible – Fallout is getting great reviews for 3D (See the CinemaBlend link above or comments in the blu-ray.com forum).

Saw it for the second time in IMAX 2D and loved it! I emailed Paramount to release the 3D Blu ray in the U.S. as I am excited to see this in my HT 3D setup. My backup option is usually Amazon.co.uk for 3D releases that aren't available in the States.

I sent an e-mail to Paramount also. Easy to do.

We may have to start e-mailing Paramount UK... though it looks like the e-mail address is the same.

From a member at Blu-Ray .com , He email Support at discshop.fl if the 3D was confirmed, This is the answer he got. " Hi, we have no confirmation but those movies that are 3D in theaters will usually be released in 3D on bluray as well". So NO 3D listing yet.

Looks like the cover text is in Scandinavian and the audio is English. Subtitles appear to be Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, and Swedish (no English). To buy from the DiscShop and have it shipped to Houston, TX will be about $42.00 if I preorder today. There was another $7.00 listed that somehow didn't figure into the totals. The release date is still unknown and I didn't read the fine print. I spent a year in Iceland some 44 years ago so factoring that into my translation abilities; I believe I'll wait this one out.

There was early reporting that this movie was filmed in IMAX 3D, but that was incorrect, it was converted like most movies.

So will it be released on 3D Blu ray in any region or not? They didn't release Ben-Hur on Blu ray 3D a couple years ago but that one flopped so I can understand why. There's really no excuse to not release MI: Fallout.

This line intentionally left blank.

Mission: Impossible - Fallout, Alpha, and Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation all seem to be distributed by Universal Pictures in the Netherlands and Italy. HT3:SV can be pre-ordered on amazon.it. I'm hoping the other two show up eventually (keeping an eye on bol.com). There are no Blu-ray press releases yet that I can find.

While it's a bummer that MI-Fallout does not have a 3D offering, it's a bit of a consolation that at least the 2D versions seem to present the IMAX ARs.

I thought I would post this. I saw the UHD 4K version last night and I must say, that a 3D version would be a waste of time. There were the usual dark inside scenes, which would have challenged any 3D projector. Also, it had a film-like grain appearance for many scenes, which some might like, but for 4K, it doesn't hold up. Some scenes were worthy of 4K, but overall, I'd get a 1080p bluray next time. I think because of the mixed production, they decided a 3D version would not hold up, and I have to agree. That said, I did not see it in 3D at a theater, but wish I did.

Totally wrong. The 3D was amazing. I didn't noticed any grain. The dark scenes were good in 3D, and I went to a Active 3D cinema wich is usually dark, it had an amazing quality like a Dolby Vision movie but without "the OLED like" in blacks. I was so surprised with 3D that when I arrived home I opened Amazon to pre-order directly the 3D blu-ray. But as we know, -still, I hope-, there are no 3D version.

That's why I said, I wished I had seen the theater 3D version first. I thought the 4K UHD HDR version was flat, grainy in places, and not that exciting to watch, making me think that a 3D bluray version would be a waste of pixels and poor production. Others seeing the UHD version might differ and that's okay, it just was puzzling to me.

Not only do I agree with your picture quality assessment of the UHD 4K version, but so does this reviewer: http://www.forbes.com/sites/johnarc.../#34e90b4374c8

Oh, thank you for this. It's exactly what I saw! I've seen this cheap (almost as if they used a 1080p bluray and upscaled it) 4kUHD production with other movies as well. Very disappointing. I was beginning to think it was my 4K bluray player or projector.

Notwithstanding our nitpicking of the PQ, IMO this is the best of the 6 Mission Impossible movies. Recommend reconsidering the cancellation of your order.....the practical stunts by Cruise, action sequences, New Zealand scenery, the Atmos sound, and some of the better Deleted scenes and Behind The Scenes extras you’ll not be disappointed.

I saw MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: FALLOUT in 3-D and it was impressive, especially the last half hour with the helicopter chase and cliffs, etc. Watching in flat 2-D would be a major step down. It's a shame Paramount opted to withhold the 3-D version from the home market. No sale, but I might pick up a used copy of the UHD at some point, so Paramount won't get any of my money.

I watched the 4K version from a Kaleidescape Strato after coughing up $37!! via a Sony 5000ES PJ and using a calibrated Lumagen Pro and was scratching my head within 30 seconds of the movie's start, wondering what the heck is wrong with the most anticipated home video release!!! I hated the mediocre PQ and the grainy non-IMAX images. No idea how this reviewer gave it 4.5 out of 5 stars -> http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Missi...205013/#Review

Just emailed them myself. Thank you for posting this email. Never occurred to me to do this before.
Here is what I said.

I’m writing to you to express my most sincere disappointment with the fact you have not released a 3D blu-ray of MI: Fallout and seem to have no plans of doing it in the near future. Paramount has a stellar track record of delivering movies for home consumption in the best possible form, going as far as including Atmos tracks in both 2D and 3D releases equally without discriminating the 3D format, a practice currently employed by other studios.
The conversion was described as “The world of 3D films hasn't seen as impressive a product as Mission: Impossible - Fallout in quite a while.” Please find below the link for the entire article.

It is very rare these days ( almost Impossible you might say) for a 3D movie to receive a perfect score, but this movie made that happen. And not only is it the first in the franchise to be released in 3D but it is also the highest grossing one, and when the 3D is described as a perfect experience I find it very puzzling you have decided to deny the home viewing market of a 3D release.
I ask you reconsider this and forward this email to whomever was in charge of this undeniably wrong decision.
I want a blu-ray 3D release of Mission Impossible - Fallout in my collection asap. And I know I’m not alone. There is allot of interest out there for a 3D disc.
Best regards

Just popping in to give an update as I just did a new search for the 3D Blu ray and looks like its still a NO. I emailed paramount and hope this release gets a home version. As far as the 4K quality I have to say it may make sense if this was filmed with older 3d stereo cameras, at least logically from my perspective.

No, it was filmed in 2D and post converted like the 99% of 3D movies are these days. Paramount must be done releasing 3D movies if they don't release this one.
