AudioQuest Niagara 1000

Hi all, what does everyone think of this product? Does it really make a difference when you plug your AV components into it or a cheaper version of it?

$1000 and it doesn't even come with a cord? How is it possible to stuff $1000 of electronics in that small of a form factor? Dubious.

Comes from the same company that sells a $2700 three foot power cable. As far as I'm concerned that says it all.

You have to realize that your homes media room may have 50+ feet of $0.20 a foot Romex from the breaker box to the outlet. What do you think you are going to improve in the last 3 feet. IMHO it is totally a placebo effect based product.

did you see the part when he measured the noise coming from it and the noise coming from the cheep power bar? the Niagara 1000 was plugged into the cheap power bar and it filtered out the noise. So I figured its better to have clean current going into your AVR than the noisy current. the question is, do you really hear a difference?

Your video link isn't working for me. As for the power bar, if you spend $1000 for it you will hear a difference.

Your well designed electronics will clean that up for you. You don't really suppose designers building $2000+ AVRs and $5000+ amps haven't considered that you may be plugging their products into the wall? Just another scam designed to separate people that don't understand electronics from their hard earned money.
