Does the CANADIAN version of this player have the Amazon Prime Video app?

Thanks.

Yeah I actually discovered my cords didn't really support 18Gbs bandwidth and that was the issue. The player works perfectly now with 444 and 60hz. But it drops to 422 for HDR.

I believe the only difference between the players is that the 8500 has wifi. The 7500 is wired only.

One difference is the M7500 has only one HDMI output, so the dual HDMI method (one to receiver, one to TV) is not available.

Anyone have any issues with the noise of the fan or motor for the UDH-m7500? I saw that mentioned a couple of times in online reviews, but it sounds like it may be individual units as opposed to a problem with all units.

Well, FWIW, the pictures on the Canadian site show a menu with Amazon Prime in it. But there is no official listing of the included apps that I can find.

Sound sync issue and flashing power light

Hi there. I'm a new subscriber to this forum.

I have a two-week old UMBD7500 connected to a SONY XBR65X850E TV with audio out from the TV to a SAMSUNG M360 sound bar.
I am finding that there is a noticeable audio sync issue which manifests as sound after video, not before as is usually described. Audio Sync options allow me to increase the audio delay, not reduce it. Is this common and what can be done about it?

I thought maybe a firmware update might be available, but as other posters have noted, unless you've an Internet connection Samsung has not made any updates available on their Web site.

Something I discovered today; all of a sudden the played did not respond to some remote commands, and eventually the power light started flashing red-green. I couldn't find any troubleshooting information in the manual and online support told me to do a power reset for 10 seconds. However, I chose the easy way and replaced the remote's batteries - this fixed that problem.

So, all I have to figure out now is if I can make the audio sync issue less noticeable (on a 65-inch TV). Thoughts?

Chris

^ Take a look at the portion of my Blog post discussing the “Helpful AVR” problem to see if it gives you any ideas regarding your excess audio delay:

Lip Sync, OR Why are Her Lips Still Moving After She’s Stopped Talking?

In your case the problem might be in the sound bar.

Anyone have this issue where the picture seems super contrast with crushed blacks? It seems to go away if I change the resolution manually in the options. Occurs for both 1080p and 4K HDR discs. I've attached pics with and without this problem. Not having this issue on my Xbox One or HD Blu Ray player.

I haven't seen this brought in previous posts, does the 7500 have the ability to play HDR10+,? I have a Samsung nu8000 tv and dolby vision will never be an option for me so I want to make sure I get a player with HDR10+.

I would say yes but can’t say for sure as their is no content yet in hdr10+. Samsung hasn’t released any Uhd Blu-ray players since 2017 so the m series is the newest. I love this player just keep in mind that it does not have WiFi.

what would you say the downside of not having wifi on a blu-ray player is?

There’s no downside. It’s a matter of convenience. Can you connect an Ethernet cable or not is the only issue. Now if you’re asking about not being connected to the internet than yes there is a downside. That would be not getting the software updates that enable the player to output hdr10+.

Universal replacement remote

Can anyone suggest a replacement remote for the device? I seem to have mislaid mine in such a way that buying a replacement seems the only way to find it again.

Danke!

So I got one for my in-laws but they don't have Ethernet where the player is located. And the Samsung website only has USB update files for the 9500 from what I see right now, not 7500/8500. Does anyone know if those are compatible (the same) or where I could get the update files for the 7500.

It's currently on 1105. But I just wanted to get it updated for them in case their were any critical fixes.

On screen display timeout

Hello. Sorry if this has been covered. I can't seem to find it. I am new to the 7500 and I'm wondering if there is any way to change to on screen display timeout. Specifically, I'm talking about the giant white bar of information that appears when you pause a disc. Once you hit play again, it hangs around for way too long. Any suggestions? Thanks.

FYI - the current firmware for the UBD-M7500 is 1111. I don't know about across player compatibility.
