OK, since TigerDirect does not have the good price they were offering for the I-4805 last week, I decided to see if I could find a good price for its rival: the Optoma H31...what do you think about this price?:

http://www.chumbo.com/info.aspx?id=245205&ptr=prcgrab

are they a reliable web site?
if so, what would be better? to buy from here or, for a little more, from Costco (who has has -as I understand from other posts- a retur police for eternity)???? :p

I'm not sure about these people. For about $30 more you can buy from a reputable company called Visual Apex who is also an AVS sponsor. They have two deals going on the H31 right now. One includes an extra year of warranty at no additional charge (3yrs. total) and the other for about $90 more than the Chumbo price includes the extra year warranty AND a pull down screen that looks pretty nice. I believe their shipping is also free if you go with the standard ground delivery. I really wish I was ready to buy another projector right now and if I was it would be the H31 and it would be from Visual Apex. Good luck. :D

I would spend the extra $ and get it at Costco. You have a very good return policy if you need to. $1079.99

Chumbo must have ended the sale rather quickly, as they want $1,142.49 for this projector which is hardly a steal.

Chumbo is an ok merchant, though - 7.78/10 rating on resellerratings.com over the past 6 mos.

Resellerratings.com

Here's a dealer wanting $1016 incl. S&H:

4805 @ **********.com

Looks like Visual Apex stoped with their deal with screen and warranty. Where is the best place to buy it now?
