I want to start renting dvds online , but im not sure which one i want to use.
Do you use this service?
I from red deer so not far from calgary so shipping time should be generally the same.
How long does it take you to receive your movies?
One of my friend uses a service i think it might be zip.ca "But im not forsure" but they send from down east so it takes longer to get the movies for him, he said about a week.

I've used both Zip.ca and Canflix.com. I'm located in Calgary and found Zip's turnaround time to be too long. I've found Canflix's ship time to be about 2 days - I've even been pleasantly surprised to get movies next day. If your in Red Deer, I'd assume you'd get similar ship times as I did.

I really like Canflix. They have almost all of the movies I'd want to see, and they seem to be growing. They keep adding new features to the web site which shows that they are continuing to progress.

Give them a try. BTW...when I signed up, I got an additional 2 weeks free by using a coupon. The code was CANND0501 I found it in one of their online advertisments. Give it a try.

I would be cautious. I did some looking into this place and it appears to be a video store in Alberta. The evaluators of the site stated that they thought this was a misleading outfit and that most of the 20,000 titles are likely 'virtual titles' (they don't actually have them but list them on their website and purchase them as needed.) Here is the link which has further links evaluating the reliability of Canflix, Zip and other Canadian online rental companies. It looks pretty bleak overall.

Funboy should take a flying leap, he is directly related or owner of Canflix. He's probably renting the DVD's out of his basement.

I just love the second post he made in this thread, whatta loser.
