There’s a heap of surround music with lots of discrete surround activity.

If you’re into Jarre try his live video Jarre In China DTS disc. Lots of his hits (and something to look at too).

Indeed - just been revisting music collection since upgrading to heigts and newer pre/pro - this disc stood out more than others so far -
I like the fun mixes on thisi type of music and more upfront on rock etc with supportive ambience

Thanks for the info, I just ordered Aero from Amazon (European seller) so in a month or so I should be able to check it out. I had forgotten about JMJ, so time to get back into it. I'll keep looking for an affordable copy of the China concert.

Yes I have this. I'll give it a spin.

Jarre's music is one of the best candidate for surround mixing, and he actually likes and embrace such mixes, yet he won't go back and do his classic albums. Well Oxygene was done in 5.1 [DD only] when he decided to re-record it "live" but somehow it just didn't sounded like the original could have in a proper mix encoded lossless. YMMV

Agreed - be interested in any recomendation you guys have in fully iimmersive 5.1+ electronic mixes- Jarre mix treats room as whole bubble - Im getting that sweet phantom imaging throughout my 11 speaker soundfield -getting latest Kraftwerk box set so expect great stuff from that-have a bunch of Shpongle / Underworld material to check out - i'm retired and still not enough time in day
