Steven Wilson doesn't remaster he only remixes.

The best way to listen to music is in 5.1 imho.

Great album! Original release was mono from the 4-track master.

If it is being remixed, I would think it would be 5.1, no??

I did and the This Was set arrived yesterday. Listened to the DTS quad mix off of the DVD and it sounded great. This is the first time I've heard the album so I have nothing to base any comparisons. I have all of the Jethro Tull book sets and other than listening to the surround mixes haven't checked out any of the bonus material. Incredible value for the amount of music and the quality of the packaging. Steven Wilson's surround mixes are excellent as is to be expected !

Bill

My SACD collection and HRAudio.net Library, getting larger as my wallet gets smaller ;-).

Emotiva XMC-1, Wyred 4 Sound STP-SE (preamp), SX-500s, ST-500, ST-250, Oppo UDP-205 x 2, UDP-203, BDP-103, Panasonic TC-P60GT50 plasma, Panamax 5100EX, Salk HT2-TLs, Salk 1801b center, Salk 1801TL (surrounds) and two Rythmik F12SEs.

Thanks Bill. I have the Collectors Edition 40th Anniversary that has remastered mono and stereo, some live cuts and bonus tracks. It sounds really good. The Steve Wilson mastering intrigues me but with the Electric Ladyland box The Beatles White Album deluxe box, getting this seemed a little redundant. On my wish list for now. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Ace
